NMC batteries are the go-to when you can't decide which to use. These excel at storing energy, and the drawbacks are few outside of high cost related to the cobalt content. NCA batteries are similar, but for more specialised use.
NMC / NCA
The adventurer of the battery family. These can't store as much as others, but are capable of outputting high volumes easily. They also have improved stability, lifespan, and ability to operate in hazardous conditions.
LFP
Great for systems that need a consistent flow of power, but don't ask for a high volume of aforementioned flow. However, due to the high cost and small lifespan, these divas have been losing ground to other batteries.
LCO
Rare earth elements are commonly used in magnets, which are stronger than ferrite or other magnets by magnitudes. Their rarity makes them a strong recycling priority and a crucial part of the circular economy.
